UN Volunteers - an organization directly subordinated to the UN engaged in support of sustainable global development in the world by advancing the ideas of volunteerism and mobilizing volunteers to address specific practical problems on our planet. In April 2003 4000 UN Volunteers were, working with refugees, HIV-infected children, the disabled, and in the field of child and adult education, health, urban development, electoral law and protect voters' rights, gender equality and women's rights, etc. etc. etc. virtually all UN Member States.

International volunteer organization founded in 1920, has 33 offices worldwide. Its objective is to promote the ideas of peace, international understanding and solidarity, social justice and environmental protection. The main activity of SCI is focused on the organization of international volunteer projects, workshops, short, medium and long-term volunteer programs, educational training and international exchanges.

Youth international organization started in 1923, promoting the ideas of peace and cooperation between countries and actively opposing military conflicts. YAP has offices in 15 countries and unites politically active youth volunteermovement. YAP organizes volunteer projects, antiwar, pacifist seminars and workshops, development of methods for non-violent armed conflicts, work with refugees, vulnerable groups, lobbying for anti-war and peace ideas among political parties and organizations.

Federation ICYE began operations in 1949 ICYE more than 30 offices in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. ICYE mission to promote youth volunteer activities for international understanding and peace. Global education and intercultural education - two basic principles ICYE programs to work with children, elderly and disabled in organizing child care centers, environmental projects.

Alliance of European volunteer organizations, founded in 1982, is the focal point of European national volunteer organizations, specializing in the coordination of short-and long-term volunteer work camps, promoting the idea of international cooperation, peace and understanding.

Coordinating Committee for International Volunteer Organizations was established in 1948 under the auspices of UNESCO. CCIVS Committee coordinates the activities of over 250 national voluntary organizations in 100 countries
